Winter is fast approaching. The semester is winding down. The Learning Commons faculty/staff are prepared to help you close on the highest note. Research assistance is available online and on campus. Free tutoring services are available as well. It may be useful for you to make a reservation, but walk-ins are always welcome. If it takes a quiet space for you to focus, the Learning Commons has study rooms available.
The 2nd Floor of the Learning Commons has all sorts of good books to fill that need to read simply for pleasure. Always remember to celebrate yourself with each of your completed assignments. Taking care of yourself is important to your success.
The Learning Commons would also like to introduce our new student workers.

Bring the water to a boil in a small heavy saucepan and remove from heat. Stir in the cocoa powder, salt, sugar and cinnamon; then place mixture over very low heat and simmer very gently just until the mixture has reached a slightly syrupy consistency, 2 to 3 minutes.
In a separate saucepan, heat the milk over low heat until just below the simmering point. Remove from the heat and stir in the cocoa mixture. Stir in the vanilla, cover and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Ladle the cocoa into mugs and garnish each with a candy cane or a marshmallow.
