Academic research is a process. The resources used in this process should be high-quality sources. This usually means they are academic (written by professionals in that field), peer-reviewed (checked for quality by other professionals in the field), and published in an academic journal. The best place to find these kinds of resources is in the databases that your library subscribes to.
The BPCC Learning Commons provides access to over 120 academic databases which contain thousands of journals. In addition, the Learning Commons houses over 18,000 books.
If you ever need help finding sources for your research, feel free to contact a librarian.
