Is there a way for students to make copies in the Library?
The Library has two copiers, one on each floor, for students. Copies are $0.10 a page and require the use of a copy card. Copy cards are available for purchase at a cost of $0.50 per card and are reusable. Users may add additional money to their card.
Students may also use the KIC scanners located on the first floor and in the Tutoring Center to scan their document and save it to a thumb drive or e-mail it to themselves. They may then print the document from one of the Library computers for free.
What can I do if the material I need is not owned by the BPCC Library?
The Library can place an Interlibrary Loan request to borrow the item(s) from another library. It takes about a week to receive materials borrowed from another library.
Are laptop computers available for students in the library?
Laptops are available for students to use in the Library. They can be checked out at the Information Desk on the first floor.

The Library cannot tell me my fines or if I have overdue items over the phone. How do I review my Library Account for fines and/or overdue items?
Current BPCC students, faculty and staff may review their Library account to view items currently checked out and/or fees due using the Review my Account feature of the Library's website. You may also renew books and audio-visual items using the Review my Account feature and selecting Renew My Materials.
Logins for Remote Access to the Databases, and to review Library account information and place holds in the Online Catalog.( Library users may search the Online Catalog without logging in. Users will need to login to place a hold or review their account.)

Does the Library have a Lost and Found area?
The Library’s Lost and Found area is located at the Information Desk on the first floor.
What can I find in the Online Catalog?
The Online Catalog contains records for materials (books, DVDs, CDs, and magazine titles) owned by the BPCC Library. It also includes access to Electronic Books (EBooks). It can be searched from any computer connected to the Internet to find items to check out or use in the library.
Can I have a snack or use my cell phone in the Library?
All eating and drinking and cell phone use is prohibited in the Library.
Who can check out items from the BPCC Library? What is needed to checkout items?
Only current BPCC students, faculty and staff may checkout items from the Library using their BPCC ID at the Circulation Desk (upstairs). Community users may use the Library items in house or study in the Library.
How many pages am I allowed to print?
BPCC students are allowed to print 300 pages each month. This amount renews on the 1st of each month in which the student is enrolled in classes at BPCC.

How do I get Research assistance?
Research assistance is available in the Library at the Circulation desk during the Library’s hours of operation or by phone at 318-678-6042. Email assistance is available at refdesk@bpcc.edu.
Can teachers request to have material put on Reserve in the Library?
Faculty may place items on Reserve by completing the Course Reserve Request form and bringing the items to the Circulation desk.
Where can I go to get tutored in a subject such as English and math?
The Learning Commons has a Tutoring Center on the second floor. They offer assistance in writing papers, math, and science.
Does the Library have WiFi (Wireless) access?
Library has WiFi access for use with a personal laptop or Library use laptop. Current students and faculty/staff may access the wireless network on a personal laptop using:
User name: first initial of first name, full last name and last three digits of ID number
PIN: Students- birthdate in 6 digit format
Faculty/Staff- Email password
